Haiku is a Japanese poetry form that consists of seventeen syllables and has nature as its subject. Examine the 5-7-5 syllable structure of this haiku. Note that in English translations, the syllables may not follow the 5-7-5 pattern

Footprints crisscrossing fields,
To whom do they all belong?
