Stuck in the Mud

I was looking for my boots in the closet of our camper. They didn’t seem to be anywhere, and then I saw these huge black rubber boots that came almost up to my waist. I put them on and went outside where Alexa was waiting for me. We went over to the big dirt pile where the construction workers had put all the dirt from the hole they dug for our house to go in. Up I went, climbing to the top of what we called, “Pride Rock.” We played Lion King there. It took me a while to get up—I was just 2, maybe 3. When I finally got to the top, I couldn’t move. I was stuck in Pride Rock—really the mud that we called Pride Rock. I was scared I’d never get out. Alexa couldn’t pull me out so she left me and ran to the camper to get my Dad. While she was gone, one of the construction men working on our new house saw me, climbed up, and pulled me out of the boots. The boots stayed stuck up there in the mud for a long time.
